alexander wang spring thumbWith the rise of Gothic in Spring Summer for the first time in memory, the all time greats including Alexander Wang have taken it on themselves to champion it forward.

The Alexander Wang Spring Summer 2013 certainly contained some Gothic and macabre elements, with full noir outfits in a plethora of cutouts and leather.

The entire collection was created in monocrome, with the clean, precise and almost clinical aesthetic that Alexander Wang is so well known for. The silhouette was as sharp and strong as possible, creating a beautifully bold result.

Seeing a plethora of leather in Spring Summer might be strange for some, but we are relishing in this opportunity to promote dark style at a time of year we have usually been silenced by a ridiculous amount of colour blocking.

Alexander Wang might be the ‘IT’ designer for New York Fashion Week at the moment, be he backs it up with substance and sheer exceptional talent every single time he displays a colleciton.
