Aminaka Wilmont Spring Summer 2013
The Aminaka Wilmont Spring Summer 2013 was certainly a majestic high point to end London Fashion Week. Both the collection and the show combined edge, strength and elegance to portray a simply beautiful aesthetic.
It should have been a give away that the invites for the show had temporary tattoos tucked into the front cover. As the models hit the catwalk it was obvious that this collection was going to be a bold one. The choice of models was sublime, defined with a touch of unusual pretence both the models and the temporary tattoos that adorned their skin complimented the collection perfectly.
The collection itself saw use of two prominent prints, a subdued floral which echoed the design of the tattoos, and a geometric stronger pattern. Aminaka Wilmont’s Spring Summer 2013 was inspired by scent and the process of perfume making, which was portrayed through these incredible prints.
Our favourite element though, was the silhouette. The strong angles of the leather jackets complimenting the skin tight leggings and jersey dresses that were prominent throughout the collection.
This was a collection full of attitude, of sensuality and edge. A simply perfect end to the London Spring Summer catwalk.
