anna sui ss13 thumbGothic and Lolita have always had a strong bond, whether for better or worse. Anna Sui seemed to agree as for the Anna Sui Spring Summer 2013 collection she delved into the underground.

As a partaker of both the New York and London underground punk scenes, Anna Sui is no stranger to the 90s Gothic and Lolita subcultures.
Although the bond is strongest in the Tokyo underworld with the tribes in Harajuku, you could also see elements of the 90s western scene. (camouflage jumpsuit anyone?)

With petticoats and prints prominent for the lolita, but much more importantly, black crochet, chiffon and jacquard prominent for the Gothic.

Anna Sui complimented these with the hair and makeup of serious brights, accenting the whole vision of the collection.

A simply beautiful Spring Summer 2013 collection where Gothic has a refreshing look.
