Haunting and hallowed, a time of vulnerability and delusion, exposed to the future. A metamorphosing creature. In a time where both strength and fragility are open for the world to see. Forever haunted by memories of a distant time, forced into a haze, like a bad dream. The darkness resumes…
The Femme Fatale series continues with “Arcadia Rebirth of the Femme Fatale”. This is an ever evolving story that will never be finished. Each shoot represents a time, an emotion, a form of James Joseph’s journey through gender. Prior to Arcadia, we have seen “The Goddess Of Night – Genesis of the Femme Fatale” and “Cinema Vamp – Evolution of the Femme Fatale”.
James states: “Arcadia has been the most interesting chapter yet, the team involved was absolutely fantastic. Once more, the genuine emotion of this shoot was surprisingly real, we had set out to make this so much more sterile and light, but the memories of Goddess Of Night, coupled with other factors really brought out the darkness, the vulnerability of it all. There’s an enchanting awkwardness in these photos, like a new born creature, unsure what to make of the world around it, unsure what is right and what is wrong”
