Atsuko Kudo

Atsuko Kudo is quite simply the fashion world’s favourite latex designer. It would be near on impossible to say something that hasn’t already been said about this incredible designer, but throughout the truly exceptional work produced, we wanted to create a Stylenoir dedication, worthy of Atsuko Kudo‘s phenomenal skill.
There is a plethora of talent that agree with our opening statement too. From the edginess of Alice Dellal to the power of Grace Jones and Lady Gaga gracing the pages of Vogue, V Magazine and more, clad in Atsuko Kudo. The brand has even collaborated with Nick Knight for the Mac/Hello Kitty launch and advertising campaign, now that is some team!
The outstanding creativity, innovation and design is a given with Atsuko Kudo, but the polished finish, that high fashion element is what separates the brand from the rest of the pack. This is what gives such a high diversity to the pieces and why they can look sleek and chic encasing Kate Moss but at the same time deliver the edge and attitude needed to adhere to the likes of Dellal and Gaga.
As if you even needed further proof of our statements, remember Thierry Mugler‘s AW11 show earlier this month that you all went so crazy over? Well, Atsuko Kudo worked in partnership with Nicola Formichetti on the collection, producing those achingly edgy latex pieces that so many of the world lost their mind over. Which includes our favourite from the collection, the high waisted two tone skirt (shown right).
When it comes to latex and rubber design, no one can even compete with Atsuko Kudo, creating a whole new playing field of their own. Every element of the brand is second to none, and it seems nothing is ever overlooked. With strong brand values, a no compromise attitude and a well thought out web presence to back it up, there really is no stopping Atsuko Kudo.
