Imagine the constant inward pressure of a million thoughts, swarming like bees. Imagine every single one of those inconceivable ideas in no way relate to you, yet plague your mind..I don’t think a day goes by where Daniel Haim and I don’t try and revolutionise the industry. There is near constant thought about how to strive, how to build creation and make it viable within the industry.

What we’re trying to do is terrifyingly hard, and I know it’s the same for all of you. There has been days where Haim and I have wanted to pack it all in, that happy life seems so easy. We’re constantly pushing the limits of society, of technology, we invent problems that we didn’t even know existed, that businesses didn’t even know existed, why? Because we’re on the forefront of an industry.

We look up to those above us, take ideas and knowledge and pass it down, across and back up. Because we truly believe that sharing what we know and what we learn, can only help every single one of us.

Some days it just gets so dark, so terribly dark. The front line is never a nice place to be, but then once in a while, something hits you, like a ten tonne truck and it makes you realise why you do this, why you suffer the pain, why you take the weight on your shoulders for those behind you… for me, that was yesterday when Daphne Guinness spoke with Nick Knight…

Her voice is like silk, every time I hear that magnificent woman speak it inspires me to my absolute core. The poise, presence and elegance of her being, magnificent and majestic, melting away from view as soon as her words form. It’s those words, those perfectly formed sounds that enthral and influence as mightily as a dying star.

Stylenoir writer Ally Richards wrote an article on just how one insignificant decision or choice can change entire civilizations in the article A Force to Change the World. I doubt she would like to think so but, Daphne holds an entire industry in her hands. The ones that she influences directly and the people she inspires and influences from afar are all thinkers, creatives and artists. Imagine inspiring and influencing a whole generation of creatives and imagine what they could achieve in the future, it’s simply mind blowing.

I am always physically moved by hearing Daphne speak, it always reaffirms everything that we are trying to achieve, everything that we sacrifice to push humanity forwards along this path of creative evolution.
