Francesca was born in Sicily in 1973. Has studied at London College of Fashion and won Best Young Designer 2003.
The fashion designer certainly has a certain style noir about her collections, often leaning towards the darker side of aesthetic.
This was especially prominent in Francesca Marotta’s Autumn Winter 2012 collection shown at London Fashion Week which took inspiration from the macabre, adorning a plethora of Gothic elements into the garments and fabrics.
The statement dresses that appeared in Francesca’s Autumn Winter 12 showing captured the attention of the industry and has to led to numerous editorials and features for the beginning of 2012.
