Jac Langheim Autumn Winter 11
Latex should be seen as a material to express creativity. A medium to create art and inspiration. Jac Langheim brings this ideal to high fashion, giving aspiration, hope and a chance for change to more than a material, to a way of life.
Quite frankly Jac Langheim is our pioneer, our trailblazer. At Stylenoir we are severely disheartened at seeing latex fall into this whirlpool of smutty, crude and ‘alternative’. Latex is just a material, why does it have to be associated with these stereotypical things and spiral out of control?
Langheim‘s designs are like a breath of fresh air, they are how latex should be used, how it should be manipulated to create truly special works of art that ooze style, class and elegance.
It’s lonely as a pioneer, when you’re doing something that no one else dare create, push a vision that no one else has seen. But Jac Langheim is quickly picking up support from the best names in the business. Take Lady Gaga for instance, who recently wore Langheim’s pieces on Saturday Night Live performing Judas.
Our favourite pieces from the Autumn Winter collection have to be the beautifully artistic dress (shown above) and the structured coat (shown below).
The dress gives off a beautiful class and sophistication, the silhouette strong yet feminine. The nude and black pattern accentuating the artistry of the design and contributing to that unique, original style that Langheim has now perfected.
The structured coat just proves that latex can be for all seasons, it is versatile and can look elegant and chic if designed and created in the right way, something that Jac Langheim has mastered.
We simply adore this collection, the sophisticated and high fashion design create such beauty. Whilst latex gets the recognition and passion it truly deserves.
