About John Rocha
John Rocha was born in 1953 and studied at the Croydon School of Art. Since then he has become one of the largest and well renowed fashion designers in the United Kingdom, if not the world.
All of John Rocha’s collections have a certain darkness to them, a noir if not macabre element that reminds us of the romance and beauty of death itself.
Black is always a prominent colour in his collections along with delicate fabrics of lace and organza. Techniques often include crocheting and millenary.
Statement pieces often include large oversized furs and detailed ruched and folded gowns.
1993 – Awarded Designer of the year by the British Fashion Awards
2002 – Received CBE from the Queen of England
