The macabre hit Vogue Italia’s cover this month with the Steven Meisel July Cover so we thought we’d look back at an editorial by photography duo Mert & Marcus and their macabre masquerade fashion editorial for Vogue Paris.

The photoshoot was styled by the iconic Carine Roitfeld herself and features some of the worlds modelling elite. Lara Stone and Crystal Renn take centre stage, whilst Freja Beha, MariaCarla Boscono and Daphne Groevneveld all provide some beautiful imagery.

The God of Gothic Riccardo Tisci sees his pieces for Givenchy appear once again in a dark editorial, which is no surprise. Now the only truly iconic designer left on the side of darkness.
