By now you should have already read our Tribute to Alexander McQueen on Stylenoir. However late last night the conclusion we had all been dreading came about on the most devastating and saddening news the fashion world has had this decade. At an inquest yesterday it was announced that Alexander McQueen did indeed take his own life due to the death of his mother only a week prior. The inquest heard that Lee Alexander McQueen was found hanged in the wardrobe of his Mayfair apartment, along with a suicide note. The contents of the suicide note has yet to be released by Police, but will certainly be the center of much scrutiny. The reason for his actions is almost certain, McQueen was finding it increasingly difficult to deal with the loss of his mother and with her funeral taking place the morning after he was found hanged, there leaves little doubt that this was the major contributer to his suicide. The British Fashion Council and London Fashion Week are planning a tribute to him when it begins tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a place to pay tribute and morn what was already an icon. Although with these circumstances it will certainly catapult him into the stratosphere giving him a very long legacy in time to come. . .
