You may have already read the nails post we did a few days ago, replacing dull coloured nail polish for artistic images of military dictators. But if that is not your thing, maybe Gareth Pugh has the answer. So, what is this answer? Hanging chains of course. The manicurist Marian Newman collaborated with Gareth Pugh to create these incredible, simplistic yet outstanding nails. Six inch chains in gunmetal grey were draped from the models nails, with shorter "day wear" versions also making an appearance. They really do look amazing, especially on edgy looking women. However for those who attend London Fashion Week and know what we're talking about here, let's hope Hatlady dosent catch on to these and kill the trend before it has even started. Gareth Pugh's AW2010 collection was actually in our eyes very reserved, his most wearable collection yet. In our minds this was a tragic disappointment as Pugh was about art, pushing boundaries and the avant garde. It is obvious his talent is still there with this concise and gathered collection, but let's hope next season it steps back up to a new level.
