Sasha Pivovarova and Illamasqua
One of our favourite models of all time, Sasha Pivovarova collaborated with our favourite makeup brand of all time, Illamasqua for Vogue Italia, now this may have been published last year, but as we described in a recent Alexander McQueen article, because of the rapid speed of fashion, the art created in this industry seems to not have time for a full reflection on creative expression, something we thing it truly deserves.
Seeing Sasha Pivovarova‘s beauty accentuated in a new form, changed by the magnificent, magical work of Illamasqua is certainly a site to behold.
The colours and shapes used create a visual sea of charm and iridescent glow. The whiteness of her new face prominent against the beautiful yet powerful hues and pigments. We especially like the second image, vivid red eyebrows complimenting the hair dyes of red and a firey yellow dip-dye, creating an empowering aesthetic.
Without doubt Illamasqua showed just how talent their team really is here, with simply extraordinary results.
