It may be a surprise that we are featuring Sass and Bide, whilst their work is exquisite and outstandingly talented, one certainly does not look towards Sass and Bide for the dark style aesthetic. Their designs are much more fresh and delicate.

However, the Sass and bide spring summer 2013 collection was possibly their best to date, and whilst a beautiful restrained collection took to the runway, the last three looks to hit the catwalk certainly needed a mention within the macabre world.

Fashion both in design and art is all about interpretation, the interpretation of vision and execution. These following looks to us were achingly Gothic, as if a play on light and dark.

The textures combined with the regal detailing perceived a more romantic and aforementioned delicate approach to the Gothic look.

An aesthetic that we have certainly fallen in love with, dark and delicate, a simply beautiful combination.

It’s obvious that the design duo Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton are on the verge of becoming a fashion colossus both in business and design, but if they spare even just a few looks for us each season, we will be forever content.
