Stylenoir’s Black Christmas
When Vanessa from The Velvet Village agreed to create two exclusive illustrations for Stylenoir’s Black Christmas concept we were thoroughly excited, little did we know that the art she would create would completely blow us away…
The simple fact is Christmas is just too full of joy for our liking. The niceties, pedestrian activities and normality all stack up to a seriously dull day, no wonder you all fall asleep in the afternoon! The Stylenoir woman surely knows how to stir things up, whether clad in ballet boots and stockings with her horns on full display, or tainting her candy canes with poison. One thing is without doubt, Santa wouldn’t stand a chance!
You may imagine that buying a gift for such a creature would be atrociously difficult, hellish in fact. Well the truth is, they will only be thrown on the fire in the afternoon anyway, so it should be fine…. as long as it comes in black. Being a solitary creature, unwanted kisses are not even considered, but just in case, that wreath of black holly around her neck should keep pesky relatives & men at bay perfectly…

I adore these two Xmas themed pieces, these should be on Xmas cards for those who feel they need to send them, not the tacky crap we see on the shelves. ;)

Vanessa is my daughter, and never ceases to ‘blow me away’ too, with her truly amazing talents, so easily applied to fashion design, photography and contemporary art. I am so proud of my ‘baby’!
