Stylenoir Top Ten Creatives 2012 title

So far in 2012 Stylenoir has hit half a million readers; broken a corner of the WWW with our antics with Zombie Boy; been hung on the wall in the London Mayor’s office; been repped by the New York Times and Microsoft… the list goes on. So we thought it was about time to start with a new journey, the Stylenoir Top 10 Creatives 2012. Each year we will look at who our readers most admired, looked at and read about, giving an official, definitive guide of the top 10 creatives chosen by Stylenoir readers.

So without further ado, here is the top ten, beginning with the winner.

1. Emma Hawkins

The macabre art dealer Emma Hawkins completely floors the opposition in this, with twice as many readers as second place.

Always remember your Agent Provocateurs

Desire, passion, a throbbing individualistic sexuality, an emotion, an expression that should never be kept under delicate wraps, but explored with as much vigor and thrill as a sweltering, steaming rain forest, a place growing through time, aching to be discovered by true pioneers.

Agent Provocateur have done exactly that in their new Ad Campaign for Autumn Winter 2011. Changing the conceptions of society and turning celebrity culture on its head. A humourous and ironic nod exposing flesh against the flash of Paparazzi’s lenses.

Creative Director Sarah Shotton, reiterates this point, stating; “It is dry and smart and wholly British”

We simply adore the new collection and the beautiful aesthetic that accompanies this. The campaign is one of our favourite in recent years. Agent Provocateur Autumn Winter 2011 is a must for any woman.

At Stylenoir it is no big announcement that we are colossal supporters of Agent Provocateur. But the Spring Summer 2011 collection just escalated our unconditional love for the brand.

The Creative Director Sarah Shotton is nothing short of a style genius. Her innovative creativity always produces spectacular results. One of those very rare designers that always looks as glamourous as her designs.

The entire collection is as luxurious and dignified as it is decadent and sultry. Take the Tilda Gown for instance (shown left). A gorgeous floor length chiffon gown accented with details of silk, providing the epitome of elegance.

It is that signature style that we love so much about Agent Provocateur. You could even call it an attitude. A daring attitude that never compromises on vision, fearless to create and empower.

Sarah Shotton Agent Provocateur

We were very privileged recently to be invited to interview Sarah Shotton, the Creative Director of Agent Provocateur. Editor In Chief James Mills sat down with Sarah to chat on Marilyn Monroe, Stylenoir’s ultimate seduction outfit and what Sarah REALLY thinks of in bed… Read On.

SN: Starting from the beginning, when you first started, what did you find the most challenging while working your way up the company?
SS: Everyday was challenging really, because the company moved at such a rate. It was very hands on, you’d be thinking on your feet all the time. I did a fashion degree so I’m self taught when it comes to lingerie, so I just had to learn.

I’ve got a funny story actually, when Joe and Serena got married, I’d only just started and they asked me to take up the hem of Serena … Read More »
