Christian Bale Marion Cotillard and the other stars of The Dark Knight Rises are reported to be in a state of shock. A source gathered by the Telegraph newspaper at the hotel where TDKR are staying in Paris, said they are “absolutely devastated”.

It is no surprise that Tonight’s Paris premiere has been cancelled after the shootings. Christian Bale, and the French actress Marion Cotillard are among those who cancelled interviews “immediately”.
A PR spokesman stated that: “There is no way they are going to go out there are talk about the film – this is a time of mourning.”

A French reporter has spoken of complete “total confusion” at the Bristol hotel where the actors ares staying, when people heard about the Denver shootings:

“The mood caused complete panic. All the publicists and other movie staff were taking calls and shouting, while actors and actresses returned to their hotel suites.”
